According to the Alberta Water Council’s website, Alberta Environment’s online water use reporting system has been operational since 2006 and has been steadily increasing its users ever since. To encourage more licensees to understand the enrollment process and use the system, a simple instructional video was developed. The video (see below) is intended to provide first-time users with a step by step guide on how to access Alberta Environment’s online Water Use Reporting (WUR) system. The purpose is to assist users in becoming more proficient in accessing the online WUR system and entering water use data online.
The Alberta Urban Municipalities Association (AUMA) Conservation, Efficiency, and Productivity (CEP) Sector Plan has a target for all urban municipalities with water systems in place. The goal is to have everyone reporting water use data through the WUR system by December 31.
