The federal government today announced $798,053 in infrastructure funding for improvements to the wastewater system in the City of Brockville, Ont.The federal contribution, through the Municipal Rural Infrastructure Fund (MRIF), is for up to one-third of total eligible costs, which are estimated at $2,394,160.

“This infrastructure improvement will eliminate the overflow of storm water into the sanitary sewer system, and reduce the volume of water being treated at the water pollution control centre,” Gord Brown, Member of Parliament for Leeds-Grenville, said in a press release.
