In March 2012, the Ministry of Environment (MOE) asked water professionals to participate in online focus groups, and to offer feedback via an online form. The objective was to facilitate a conversation with the water science community about how, together with the MOE, it can increase access to water data and information to support sustainable water use and management in BC.

In total, 31 people participating in the focus groups, and 27 respondents through the online comment form. Participants included representatives from a wide range of sectors from all across British Columbia.

For a look at what was said, and the MOE’s recommendations for next steps, visit the project webpage or download the qualitative research report.

BC is still asking for additional perspectives and practical ideas for solutions to add to the conversation. They can be sent via email to [email protected].
