About The Project

THE NORTH East Trunk Sanitary Sewer Line will extend from the Leamington Pollution Control Centre north to Mersea Road 4 and County Road 18 to the adjacent employment lands. Once complete, it will: enable housing growth, supporting up to 6,500 new residential units; open new industrial and employment lands, attracting businesses and jobs; reduce reliance on septic systems, particularly for greenhouses and farmworker housing; support Leamington’s greenhouse sector, strengthening food security and the local economy; and protect Lake Erie through modern, centralized wastewater management.
