The Métis Nation of Saskatchewan has received $10,000 from the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency to support its participation in the environmental assessment of the proposed Saskatchewan Landing Regional Water Supply Project in west central Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan Landing Regional Water Pipeline Utility is planning to construct a large-scale water infrastructure system in west central Saskatchewan. The project would encompass the Kyle area sub-region and the Elrose Rosetown area sub-region, and would utilize groundwater from two or three aquifers.

The funding will assist participation in the comprehensive study process and review of the subsequent study report to be submitted by the responsible authority, Infrastructure Canada.
