Heron Instruments Inc. has announced that William (Bill) MacDonald is the new president and chief executive officer of the company.
Donald Toon, founder of the company, will maintain a role as a valuable consultant to both the design/innovation team and the new owner.
During this time of transition there is no better person to lead Heron Instruments into the next phase than Bill MacDonald, according to the company. MacDonald is a proven leader with engineering experience, business vision, and the ability to bring people together. His understanding of how technology will be used and experienced around the world is exactly what Heron Instruments needs as the company enters into a new chapter of expanded product innovation and growth.
“We believe Heron has a bright future ahead, and the innovation potential of our current and new projects reflect that strong confidence,” MacDonald said. “While most of our attention will be focused on providing high quality product solutions to support our customers, we know that the groundwater industry is rapidly changing and we need to be on top of this transformation as well”.
Heron Instruments designs and manufactures water monitoring equipment and sells the product around the world with the help of over 30 distribution partners.
