Guelph, Ontario-based ENPAR Technologies Inc. has entered into an MOU with InTechnology Chile Ltda to develop markets in Chile and other Latin-American countries for ENPAR’s water treatment technologies.

Based in Santiago, Chile, InTechnology has been involved with the design, development and installation of a combined total of 70 municipal and industrial liquid waste and sewage treatment systems. The company expects to introduce the ENPAR’s water treatment technologies and develop integrated systems that provide solutions for markets initially in Chile.

InTechnology will conduct a market study to identify specific applications and facility locations for pilot tests of the systems. The anticipated implementation of a formal agreement will result in a pilot-test program and is expected to provide impetus to secure orders for full-scale water treatment systems. The proposed business model is expected to focus on build-own-operate installations, a common practice in Chile and other countries in South America.

ENPAR focuses on the treatment of wastewater, desalination water and drinking water contaminated by metals or nutrients.
