The Canadian Water Network is issuing five calls to the water research community, with up to $3.2 million in research support available.

The funding opportunities are available for knowledge applications from previous CWN research teams, and research and knowledge integration projects under the Canadian Watershed Research Consortium and Canadian Municipal Water Consortium.

Under the Canadian Watershed Research Consortium, project funding is available for teams developing regional monitoring frameworks to support cumulative effects assessment in the Slave River, and Delta, Northwest Territories.

Under the Canadian Municipal Water Consortium, funding is available for three project categories: a research project to address improved nutrient removal, and recovery from municipal wastewater in the Canadian context; a research project to address risks associated with the application of municipal biosolids to agricultural lands; and expressions of interest to develop biosolids and wastewater research projects.
