AECOM has announced that Marc Devlin, a material science engineer by training, has joined the company as executive vice president and region executive of AECOM’s Design Consulting Services business in Canada. In this position, Devlin will leverage his substantial engineering and management experience within Canada’s transportation and power groups, amongst others in the region.

“Marc’s broad experience and knowledge in multiple sectors in the region well positions him to lead an already strong AECOM team in Canada. With deep existing relationships in the industry and region, Marc will be highly involved in advising new and existing client projects working to provide the solutions to their greatest technical and operational challenges,” said Steve Morriss, AECOM’s president of its Design Consulting Services business in the Americas.

Devlin joins AECOM from SNC-Lavalin Group where he was senior vice president and led a group specializing in providing operation and maintenance expertise to rail and transit, roads and infrastructure and power generation business sectors. Previously, Devlin served as senior director of program management at L-3 Wescam, a world-leader in electro-optical and infrared (EO/IR) imaging and targeting systems for long-range target detection and identification from air, land and maritime domains. He also held a variety of roles at companies, including Spar Aerospace in Brampton, Ontario, Pratt & Whitney Canada, and General Motors.

Devlin holds an ICD.D certification from the Institute of Corporate Directors and an executive certificate from the MIT Sloan School of Management in technology, operations and value chain management. He has his Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of Toronto, Canada, and is a certified professional engineer.

Devlin will be based out of AECOM’s Mississauga, Ontario, office.
