Village of Hilton Beach gets $91k critical water infrastructure investment

The Ontario government is putting $91,250 towards rehabilitation and expansion of critical water infrastructure in the Village of Hilton Beach in in Algoma-Manitoulin, ON.

The funding is from the province’s Municipal Housing Infrastructure Program’s Health and Safety Water Stream (MHIP-HSWS) and will be used in the Village of Hilton Beach for the upgrades to the Hilton Beach water and sewer infrastructure, a release from Algoma-Manitoulin MPP Bill Rosenberg said.

“Congratulations to the Village of Hilton Beach on receiving this funding.  Our province is taking important action to strengthen and modernize this type of infrastructure because we recognize the importance of investing in water and sewer health and safety.  We are proud to support this investment to protect Hilton Beach’s residents and visitors’ well-being for many years to come,” Rosenberg said.

“This funding is essential for ensuring that Hilton Beach continues to deliver safe, dependable water and wastewater services to our residents and visitors. These upgrades address longstanding infrastructure needs and will help us maintain compliance, control costs, and protect the wellbeing of our community,” Village of Hilton Beach mayor Robert Hope added.
