About The Project
THE CITY of Regina has kicked off the third year of its $167-million, construction project, which will provide a long-term plan for the city’s water distribution network to accommodate growth up to a population equivalent of 310,000.
To address pressure and supply issues on the east side of the city and improve system redundancy, the project design includes a new water pumping station and two 42.5-megalitre water storage reservoirs complete with a new 8.4-kilometre water supply line.
The implementation of the project will allow the city to continue meeting current and future customer demands while providing safe and reliable service, regulatory compliance and environmental stewardship.
