Poll: Is Social Media Good for Water Businesses?
This is a very good question. I use linkin for work and Facebook for friends and family. I am not on twitter.
I really don’t think these tools can replace meeting people face-to-face and growing a network through personal interaction. I find them useful for either starting a business relationship or maintaining one, but strong business relationships need face time.

I think social media can be great for spreading awareness issues and responding to any negative blurts, but like John has pointed out, a topic like this would probably fare better with a face-to-face network.

I have a company presence on Facebook but I guess I do not see the value as I have a very little traffic and I am not sure how I can increase this.
I have been using my page to broadcast interesting water related articles and information about my company but my audience is very small.

I believe that social media, in particular facebook, will probably result in a greater loss to a business than anything else as employees are unable to police themselves and end up wasting an enormous amount of work time on them. Ultimately we’ve blocked access facebook, Youtube, internet mail and other distracting sites because of employee problems. Nevertheless the internet is a fantastic tool for business but social media,…. beh.
