More than 3,000 industry delegates are expected to attend CIPHEX West 2008 when the trade show and conference take place in the Roundup Centre at Stampede Park in Calgary, Sept. 25 and 26.The 2008 edition of the CIPHEX West trade show will be held in conjunction with the 8th World Plumbing Conference themed “Water – Our Business, Our Life, Our Responsibility” hosted by MCA Alberta, MCA Canada and the Canadian Institute of Plumbing and Heating.

Every three years the World Plumbing Council stages a conference which brings hundreds of key plumbing delegates from around the world for thought provoking seminars on water efficiency, research projects and discusses the critical issues facing the plumbing industry globally.

CIPHEX West is for those involved in the sale of plumbing, hydronic heating (hot water), heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment, electrical equipment, water treatment systems, tools, and kitchen and bath fixtures. Attendees will come from across western Canada and the northwestern U.S. to see what’s new from the industry and to meet with over 200 exhibiting companies occupying over 40,000 square feet.

“The show is almost sold out with an excellent variety of companies including a dozen companies that have never exhibited in CIPHEX West before,” says show chair Manfred Schmidt. “With a two-year span between shows; the plumbing and heating industry is excited about the newest products available for 2008 and beyond. CIPH Calgary Region once again is proud to have CIPHEX West in Western Canada, and combining conferences of the World Plumbing Council, MCA Alberta and MCA Canada and CIPHEX West concurrently in Calgary will create the networking opportunity of the year for the industry.”

Visitors will see sensational new products available in North America in the Gallery of New Products. Stay informed about the latest technologies and designs that can improve performance, simplify installation, repairs and ultimately increase your sales.

CIPHEX West will offer a great line-up of speakers including David Bengert, president of BuiltGreen Society of Canada, Ellen and Bob “Hot Rod” Rohr of Show Me Radiant and Solar, Inc. and David Hughes from Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT).

New for 2008 is an exclusive one-hour opportunity for exhibitors to meet and greet World Plumbing Conference delegates on Friday, Sept. 26.

The Canadian Hydronics Council will provide a two-day “Introduction to Hydronic Heating Installation” course. For complete details on this Canadian Hydronics Council School, along with the seminars and workshops, visit www.ciphexwest.ca.
