Bureau Veritas, a French leader in testing, inspection, and certification services, has acquired Maxxam Analytics, as announced by Maxxam on December 23. Despite the change in ownership, Maxxam will continue operating in Canada under its current name and will see no change in personnel, processes, or business structure.
“This is an important step in the growth of Maxxam and one that enables us to stay focused on our customers, while significantly expanding the range of value-added services we can provide,” said Maxxam CEO and president, Joe Hantho. “Not only is Maxxam a great fit for Bureau Veritas in terms of the industries and geographies we serve, our corporate vision and values are also extremely well aligned.”
Although there will be no immediate changes to the day to day operations for Maxxam’s customers and employees, Bureau Veritas’ wide global and local networks will prove useful for exchanging best practices and innovations.
“The technical and scientific expertise of the Maxxam team, as well as the company’s solid reputation and performance, are most impressive,” said Bureau Veritas CEO Didier Michaud-Daniel. “We are very excited that Maxxam is joining the Bureau Veritas group, a move that will help us establish a strong and strategic presence in North America.”
