Meet the panelists: The Cost (and value) of water

Martin Bureau, Vice-President Innovation, Sanexen Services Environnementaux inc.

Martin Bureau is a professional engineer who has been working in Research and Development (R&D) since 1992. He holds a Doctorate of Material Sciences in Polymer Composites, a Master of Applied Sciences in Metallurgy, and a Bachelor of Engineering (Metallurgy). He joined Sanexen in 2013 as Senior Director Research and Development, and is now Vice-President Innovation. His primary responsibilities consist of supporting the growth of the Infrastructure and Environment Divisions, as well as of affiliate company Niedner Inc., through the development and introduction of new products and processes, including intellectual property management. Mr. Bureau also acts as an expert in the process development and manufacturing for Sanexen’s needs.

Robert Haller, Executive Director, Canadian Water and Wastewater Association

Robert Haller is the executive director of the Canadian Water and Wastewater Association, a role he took on after almost 20 years as a senior municipal administrator – most of those years serving as a CAO for small and medium-sized communities.   Robert leads the CWWA as the national voice for water and wastewater in Ottawa and promotes collaboration between all the water organizations across Canada.  Robert has served on a number of national roundtables representing the utility sector to the federal government.

William Fernandes

William Fernandes is currently the Director of Water Treatment and Supply within Toronto Water.

He is a Professional Engineer with over 35 years both in private and public sector, working in operations, maintenance and capital delivery.
