The 36th annual Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting—the largest and longest running event of its kind—will take place February 19–21, 2026 in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia.
Produced by Travel Berkeley Springs, the event brings together municipal and bottled water producers from around the world to compete in five categories: municipal, bottled non-carbonated, purified drinking water, bottled sparkling, and the People’s Choice Package Design.
The annual event attracts entries from several countries and across North America, providing global exposure and marketing benefits for winners. Top entries are scored using a system modelled after leading wine ratings, with first-place winners in each category earning a perfect score of 100.
In addition to the tasting competition, a seminar titled Water: Beneath the Surface and Around the Globe will be held on February 20, featuring speakers and informative discussions on water. The session will also be streamed online.
Entry deadlines vary by category, with general entries due by February 9 and deliveries required by February 12. Package design entries must be submitted by January 20.
