Anna Comerton is a process engineer, project manager and Manager of the Water Planning & Studies Group at Associated Engineering. Anna completed her Masters and PhD at the University of Toronto with the Drinking Water Research Group. Anna’s research in water treatment includes topics such as membrane filtration, organic micropollutants, water reuse, and disinfection and disinfection by-products.  

Anna joined Associated Engineering following her doctoral studies in 2009. Her consulting engineering experience includes treatment process design and optimization, water quality assessments and testing programs, project management and contract administration on a wide range of water infrastructure projects in Ontario and across Canada for Indigenous, municipal and private sector clients. 

Anna’s involvement in the water industry includes participation on technical committees including the OWWA Water Treatment Committee (since 2018 and as Chair in 2023/2024) and the CWWA’s Drinking Water Quality Committee (since 2018 and as Chair since 2024).
