Let’s Talk Lake Superior: Algal Blooms on Lake Superior

On Tuesday, April 26, 2022, a­­­t 10 a.m. CT (11 a.m. ET), join us for a one-hour public webinar as we talk about algal blooms on Lake Superior.

We’ll hear from Bob Sterner of the University of Minnesota-Duluth, who will provide an overview of algal blooms, current conditions, climate change impacts and what Canada and the U.S. are doing to address them. We’ll also hear from Gina LaLiberte of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and Claire Holeton of the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks, who will provide information on identifying algal blooms, what to do when encountering blooms and how to report them in your area.
