Join us on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 12 p.m. ET for a one-hour webinar, Let’s Talk Lake Erie: Chemical Contaminants. Learn how contaminants can impact human and ecosystem health and what’s being done about them.
Learn about the state of chemical contaminants in the Lake Erie basin from Alice Dove and Daryl McGoldrick of Environment and Climate Change Canada. We’ll also hear from presenters Scott Hardy and Chris Winslow of Ohio Sea Grant, who will talk about the sediment remediation efforts that contributed to the recent delisting of Ashtabula River Area of Concern. Finally, we’ll hear from Emily Dyett of Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper, who will present on the impact of plastics pollution and the benefits of their Shoreline Sweeps community engagement program.
Participants will also have an opportunity to ask questions to our experts. This is a virtual webinar hosted on WebEx and is the latest in our webinar series, Let’s Talk Lake Erie!
